81 Years of Hybrid Excellence
It was 1927 when B.E. Moews incorporated under the brand name of Moews Illini Super Corn.
Since then, leading corn producers across the Midwest have come to trust Moews hybrids for their outstanding quality, size uniformity and yield potential.
Moews remains an independent family-owned company, and we adhere to many of the guiding principles set forth by our founder 81 years ago. Our headquarters still reside on the farm where Ben began his intensive program of plant breeding that led to Illini Super Corn-our first hybrid. It was introduced in 1928 and came to the market sold on the cob. And that was only the beginning!
The history of Moews hybrids reflects Ben's belief that our research should be focused on the specific needs of our markets. This commitment has helped us produce hybrids that can stand up to the challenges faced by Midwestern farmers.
Another interesting aspect of our history is the strong relationship between Moews, the individual farmer/customer, and all facets of agribusiness at the local level. The ongoing dialogue between these three groups has been an important factor in our success.
We also believe that a quality product should be backed by quality individuals. Nearly all of our dealers are farmers with outstanding background and training in seed science. As a result, they can match our hybrids to each customer with great accuracy. Steady growth and increased sales are proof that we undertsand exactly what the market wants and needs.
